इस व्रत से ही पति व्रता नारी की है पहचान,
करवा चौथ करवा चौथ ,
इक साल में इक बार ही होता ये उपहास,
सारे दिन पत्नी को रहता पति का ही आभास,
कठिन लगे पर नेह प्यार में बने ये व्रत आसान,

जब तक नजर नहीं आता है उसको चाँद का रूप ,
तब तक पत्नी सजे सजाये पति के ही अनुरूप,
चाँद देख कर आते उसके मन प्राणो में प्राण,

चाँद दिखा तो प्र्शन मन से चलती थाल सजाये,
पूजा कर चंदा के घर आये पति चरनन सिर लाये,
चाँद से मांगे पति की लम्भी आयु का वरदान,
