Sheshnag temple, Mansar Lake

Sheshnag temple located on the eastern bank of the Mansar Lake is dedicated to Lord Serpent. It is known for its story of bringing happiness and blessings to newlyweds and that is why, newly married couple from far and wide flock to the temple to seek divine blessings. It is also believed that anyone who dips on the holy water on Mansar Lake will be rectified and brought purity upon him/her. Sheshnag is known to possess six heads and is flanked by smaller snakes that are depicted in the form of iron chains.
