दुखी सुदामा अति निर्धन था,
वस्त्र फटे थे दुर्बल तन था,
कष्टों से व्याकुल जीवन था,
मगर सहारा एक मोहन था,
चले सुदामा मित्र से मिलने,
चिंताओं में खोए,
दीन सुदामा के प्रभु ने,
असुवन से पग धोये,

द्वारकाधीश के द्वार पे आए,
भेंट को चावल साथ में लाए,
जब नाम सुदामा अरज कराई,
प्रभु मन प्रीत उमड़ तब आई,
दौड़ के आए गले लगाए,
प्रेम से नैन भिगोए,
दीन सुदामा के प्रभु ने,
असुवन से पग धोये,

छीन के चावल भोग लगाए,
देख रुक्मणि अचरज लाए,
अनुपम स्वागत हुई बिदाई,
प्रभु की सखा से हुई जुदाई,
घर पहुँचे तो देख के वैभव,
चकित सुदामा होए,
