माँ तेरी तस्वीर सिरहाने रखकर सोते हैं,
यही सोच कर अपने दोनों नैन भिगोते हैं ।
कभी तो तस्वीर से निकलोगी, कभी तो मेरी मईया पिघलोगी ।

जाने कब आ जाए मईया, आँगन रोज बुहारे ,
मेरे इस छोटे से घर का कोना कोना सँवारे ।
विश्वास है मईया आएगी, मुझे आस है मईया आएगी ।
जिस दिन माँ नहीं आती हम जी भर कर रोते हैं ,
यही सोच कर अपने दोनों नैन भिगोते हैं ।
कभी तो तस्वीर से निकलोगी, कभी तो मेरी मईया पिघलोगी ।

अपनापन हो अँखियों में, होठों पे मुस्कान हो ,
ऐसे मिलना जैसे की माँ, जन्मों की पहचान हो ।
इकबार तू कहदे ओ मईया, मुझे लाल तू कहदे ओ मईया,
इसके खातिर अँखियाँ मसल मसल कर रोते हैं ,
यही सोच कर अपने दोनों नैन भिगोते हैं ।
कभी तो तस्वीर से निकलोगी, कभी तो मेरी मईया पिघलोगी ।

इक दिन ऐसी नींद खुले, जब माँ का दीदार हो,
बनवारी फिर हो जाए, ये अँखियाँ बेकार हो,
पूछे मेरा आँगन ओ मईया, कब होगा दर्शन ओ मईया,
बस इस दिन के खातिर हम तो दिन भर रोते हैं,
यही सोच कर अपने दोनों नैन भिगोते हैं ।
