tan nibadhnāti kaunteya karma-saṅgena dehinam

भावार्थ:
हे अर्जुन! रागरूप रजोगुण को कामना और आसक्ति से उत्पन्न जान। वह इस जीवात्मा को कर्मों और उनके फल के सम्बन्ध में बाँधता है॥7॥
Translation
O Arjun, rajo guṇa is of the nature of passion. It arises from worldly desires and affections, and binds the soul through attachment to fruitive actions.
