phāguna kā mēlā āyā hai aba āpakā ānā bākī hai,
mērē dila mēṃ tērī lagana lagī aba āpakā ānā bākī hai,
lēkē umaṃga viśvāsa calē kāvaḍhiyā[ann] lēkē niśāna calē,
saba ṭhumaka ṭhumaka nāca rahē basa niśāna caṛhānā bākī hai,
phāguna kā mēlā āyā hai aba āpakā ānā bākī hai,
khāṭū nagarī dulhana sī lagē dēkha dēkha mana mērā jhūma uṭhē,
kyā khūba sajā bhaktō nē tērē darśana pānā bākī hai,
phāguna kā mēlā āyā hai aba āpakā ānā bākī hai,
saba lāyē kēsara gulāla lāyē phūla,
hōlī khēlē gaē bābā tumasē jarūra,
maṃdira sē bahāra ā jāō tumhē raṃga lagānā bākī hai,
