आ याहि वनसा सह गावः सचन्त वर्तनिं यदूधभिः ||

आ याहि वस्व्या धिया मंहिष्ठो जारयन्मखःसुदानुभिः ||

पितुभ्र्तो न तन्तुमित सुदानवः परति दध्मो यजामसि ||

उषा अप सवसुस्तमः सं वर्तयति वर्तनिं सुजातता ||

ā yāhi vanasā saha ghāvaḥ sacanta vartaniṃ yadūdhabhiḥ ||

ā yāhi vasvyā dhiyā maṃhiṣṭho jārayanmakhaḥsudānubhiḥ ||

pitubhṛto na tantumit sudānavaḥ prati dadhmo yajāmasi ||

uṣā apa svasustamaḥ saṃ vartayati vartaniṃ sujātatā ||

1. WITH all thy beauty come: the kine approaching with full udders follow on thy path.

2 Come with kind thoughts, most liberal, rousing the warrior’s hymn of praise, with bounteous ones,

3 As nourishers we tie the thread, and, liberal with our bounty, offer sacrifice.

4 Dawn drives away her Sister’s gloom, and, through her excellence, makes her retrace her path.
