Tradition holds that the ancient Hiranya Garbha Teerth (a sacred water body) is no longer visibly distinct but has merged into the Ganges at Trilochan Ghat. Devotees believe that worshipping Lord Shiva here dissolves the “bonds” of existence, leading to Moksha (liberation).
