किं कर्म किमकर्मेति कवयोऽप्यत्र मोहिताः । तत्ते कर्म प्रवक्ष्यामि यज्ज्ञात्वा मोक्ष्यसेऽशुभात्‌॥

किं कर्म किमकर्मेति कवयोऽप्यत्र मोहिता: |
तत्ते कर्म प्रवक्ष्यामि यज्ज्ञात्वा मोक्ष्यसेऽशुभात् || 16||

kiṁ karma kim akarmeti kavayo ’pyatra mohitāḥ
tat te karma pravakṣhyāmi yaj jñātvā mokṣhyase ’śhubhāt

भावार्थ:

कर्म क्या है? और अकर्म क्या है? इस प्रकार इसका निर्णय करने में बुद्धिमान पुरुष भी मोहित हो जाते हैं। इसलिए वह कर्मतत्व मैं तुझे भलीभाँति समझाकर कहूँगा, जिसे जानकर तू अशुभ से अर्थात कर्मबंधन से मुक्त हो जाएगा॥16॥

Translation

What is action and what is inaction? Even the wise are confused in determining this. Now I shall explain to you the secret of action, by knowing which, you may free yourself from material bondage.
