गोकुल की गलियों में,
शोर हो गया,
मटकी अपनी सम्भालो,
माखन चोर आ गया,
माखन चोर आ गया।।
संग ग्वाल बालो के आकर,
करता माखन की चोरी,
कोई अगर बोले तो,
करता ये बरजोरी,
ये रंगीला बड़ा,
है हठीला बड़ा,
करे करामात रोज ये नया,
माखन चोर आ गया,
माखन चोर आ गया।।
नटखट बड़ा नंदलाला,
ना सुने बात जन की,
ये अपनी मस्ती में रहता,
करता है अपने मन की,
करता शैतानिया,
फोड़ता मटकिया,
चर्चा में सबकी ये आ गया,
माखन चोर आ गया,
माखन चोर आ गया।।
माखन भरी देख मटकी,
खुद को ना रोक पाए,
लाख पहरा ये फिर भी,
माखन चट कर जाए,
सारी ब्रज गोपियाँ,
इसकी मनमानियां,
कुंदन सोचे करे भी तो क्या,
माखन चोर आ गया,
माखन चोर आ गया।।
