आज तक याद है,
अभी तक मुंह में,
दाल चूरमें का स्वाद है।
पेटी और नगाड़े संग बजती धमाल थी,
भक्तों की होती जुगलबंदी कमाल थी,
भजनों से सुनता बाबा सबकी फरियाद है,
अभी तक मुंह में,
दाल चूरमें का स्वाद है।।
भक्तों के हाथों में जब मोर छड़ी घूमती,
दीन दुखियों के सर प्रेम से है चूमती,
कई प्रेमियो के घर झाड़े से आबाद हैं,
अभी तक मुंह में,
दाल चूरमें का स्वाद है।।
बारस की जात दे के होती जब विदाई थी,
श्याम से बिछड़ के ‘रोमी’ आती रुलाई थी,
पूरी होती देखी घर पे आते ही मुराद है,
अभी तक मुंह में,
दाल चूरमें का स्वाद है।।

bhakton ke haathon mein jab mor chhadee ghoomatee,
deen dukhiyon ke sar prem se hai choomatee,
kaee premiyo ke ghar jhaade se aabaad hain,

baaras kee jaat de ke hotee jab vidaee thee,
shyaam se bichhad ke ‘romee’ aatee rulaee thee,
pooree hotee dekhee ghar pe aate hee muraad hai,
