Kanchipuram, also known as Kanchi, is a city in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu that is famous for its exquisite silk sarees and historical temples. The city has been ruled by various dynasties, including the Cholas, Pallavas, and Vijayanagara empire, who have all contributed to the grandeur of the temples in Kanchipuram.

The Ekambareswarar temple is the largest temple in Kanchipuram and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is known for its massive gopuram (tower) and thousand-pillar hall. The Varadaraja Perumal temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is famous for its intricate carvings and beautiful architecture. The Kamakshi Amman temple is dedicated to Goddess Kamakshi, a form of Goddess Parvati, and is known for its intricate carvings and beautiful architecture.

Apart from these temples, there are many other temples in Kanchipuram worth visiting, such as the Vaikunda Perumal temple, Ulagalanda Perumal temple, and the Kachapeshwarar temple. The city attracts thousands of devotees and tourists every year, who come to witness the beauty and spiritual significance of these temples.
