जितना राधा रोई,
रोई कान्हा के लिए,
कन्हैया उतना रोया,
रोया है सुदामा के लिए।।
बोला वो हो मतवाला,
यार मेरा मुरली वाला।
यार की हालत देखि,
उसकी हालत पे रोया,
यार के आगे अपनी,
शानो-शौकत पे रोया,
ऐसे तड़पा तड़पे शमा,
परवाने के लिए,
कन्हैया उतना रोया,
रोया है सुदामा के लिए।।
बोला वो हो मतवाला,
यार मेरा मुरली वाला।
पाँव के छाले देखे,
तो दुःख के मारे रोया,
पाँव धोने के खातिर,
ख़ुशी के मारे रोया,
आंसू थे भरपाई,
अब तो जीने के लिए,
कन्हैया उतना रोया,
रोया है सुदामा के लिए।।

उसके आने से रोया,
उसके जाने से रोया,
होक गदगद चावल के,
दाने दाने पे रोया,
बनवारी वो रोया,
बस याराना के लिए,
कन्हैया उतना रोया,
