वृष्णीनां वासुदेवोऽस्मि पाण्डवानां धनञ्जय: |
मुनीनामप्यहं व्यास: कवीनामुशना कवि: || 37||
vṛiṣhṇīnāṁ vāsudevo ’smi pāṇḍavānāṁ dhanañjayaḥ
munīnām apyahaṁ vyāsaḥ kavīnām uśhanā kaviḥ

भावार्थ:
वृष्णिवंशियों में (यादवों के अंतर्गत एक वृष्णि वंश भी था) वासुदेव अर्थात् मैं स्वयं तेरा सखा, पाण्डवों में धनञ्जय अर्थात् तू, मुनियों में वेदव्यास और कवियों में शुक्राचार्य कवि भी मैं ही हूँ॥37॥
Translation
Amongst the descendants of Vrishni, I am Krishna, and amongst the Pandavas I am Arjun. Know me to be Ved Vyas amongst the sages, and Shukracharya amongst the great thinkers.
