16 (12), Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 12, Verse 16

अनपेक्ष: शुचिर्दक्ष उदासीनो गतव्यथ: |
सर्वारम्भपरित्यागी यो मद्भक्त: स मे प्रिय: || 16||

anapekṣhaḥ śhuchir dakṣha udāsīno gata-vyathaḥ
sarvārambha-parityāgī yo mad-bhaktaḥ sa me priyaḥ

भावार्थ:

जो पुरुष आकांक्षा से रहित, बाहर-भीतर से शुद्ध (गीता अध्याय 13 श्लोक 7 की टिप्पणी में इसका विस्तार देखना चाहिए) चतुर, पक्षपात से रहित और दुःखों से छूटा हुआ है- वह सब आरम्भों का त्यागी मेरा भक्त मुझको प्रिय है॥16॥

Translation

Those who are indifferent to worldly gain, externally and internally pure, skillful, without cares, untroubled, and free from selfishness in all undertakings, such devotees of Mine are very dear to Me.
