मेरा कर दे काम विशेष,
जा कर सांवरिया के देश,
सांवरे से कह दे सन्देश, हो,
ओ पँछी जा रे।।
तर्ज ओ बाबुल प्यारे।
भवसागर की लहरे है ऊँची,
भवर ये मन को डराए,
तूफानों के बीच फसा हूँ,
दिल मेरा घबराए,
जैसे कैदी सलाखों में,
आंसू हरपल आँखों में,
बदला है वक्त ने आज भेष, हो,
ओ पँछी जा रे।।
देख बदलती किस्मत मेरी,
लोगों के ढंग बदले,
मुझपे मर मिटने वालों ने,
गिरगिट से रंग बदले,
मन मेरा धरता नहीं धीर,
सर पे लटक रही शमशीर,
रस्ता ना बचा कोई शेष, हो,
ओ पँछी जा रे।।
तेरा प्रेमी तेरे रहते,
आँखों क्यों नम करता,
तरस नही क्यों आए तुझको,
मैं घुट घुट के मरता,
कोई आज नहीं है साथ,
आकर पकड़ लो मेरा हाथ,
लाज रख लो हे खाटू नरेश, हो,
ओ पँछी जा रे।।
