38kms away from Balangir to the South, Saintala stands proudly for its shrine of Goddess Chandi in Mahisamardini form is presently installed in a small mound. The Dasavatar (ten incarnations) image of Vishnu and broken door jamb with figures of Ganga and Yamuna are among the remarkable things which are mentioned in sculpture. The temple Chandi is now stands in dilapidated condition.
