The Shiva Temple of Basohli is located at the heart of the city on the bank of River Ravi and houses an ancient Shivlingam, which to have been brought by the Pandavas when they came to Basohli during their agytavaas (exile). This famous Shivlingam was originally some kind of gem and known to have some mystical power. Over the years, it has turned into black color but still looks like a diamond.
