ये तन क्या है एक पिंजरा है,
इस पिंजरे में एक तोता है,
ये तोता जब उड़ जाएगा,
तो खाली पिंजरा रह जाएगा,
ये तन क्या हैं इक पिंजरा है,
इस पिंजरे में एक तोता है।।
तर्ज वो क्या है एक मंदिर है।
दुनिया वालों,
दुनिया मुसाफिर खाना है,
जो आज आए है,
कल उन्हें वापस जाना है,
जग जोगी वाला फेरा है,
ना तेरा है ना मेरा है,
ये तन क्या हैं इक पिंजरा है,
इस पिंजरे में एक तोता है।।
जब तक इस,
तोते का यहाँ पर दाना है,
तब तक इस,
पिंजरे में जन्म बिताना है,
जब दाना ही मूक जाएगा,
तो खाली पिंजरा रह जाएगा,
ये तन क्या हैं इक पिंजरा है,
इस पिंजरे में एक तोता है।।
ये पिंजरा हुआ पुराना,
पंछी छोड़ चला,
कई जन्मों के,
रिश्ते नाते तोड़ चला,
जब पंछी ही उड़ जाएगा,
तो खाली पिंजरा रह जाएगा,
ये तन क्या हैं इक पिंजरा है,
इस पिंजरे में एक तोता है।।

tarja vo kyA hai eka maMdira hai|
duniyA vAloM,
duniyA musAphira khAnA hai,
jo Aja Ae hai,
kala unheM vApasa jAnA hai,
jaga jogI vAlA pherA hai,
nA terA hai nA merA hai,
ye tana kyA haiM ika piMjarA hai,
isa piMjare meM eka totA hai||
jaba taka isa,
tote kA yahA.N para dAnA hai,
taba taka isa,
piMjare meM janma bitAnA hai,
jaba dAnA hI mUka jAegA,
to khAlI piMjarA raha jAegA,
ye tana kyA haiM ika piMjarA hai,
isa piMjare meM eka totA hai||
ye piMjarA huA purAnA,
paMChI Choड़ chalA,
kaI janmoM ke,
rishte nAte toड़ chalA,
jaba paMChI hI uड़ jAegA,
